Sheffield Crossing Surveying

Sand Springs, Oklahoma

Sheffield Crossing is a development owned by the City of Sand Springs. Meshek’s surveying team joined the project team in September 2020. The original scope entailed master drainage plans and hydraulic assistance. Meshek established control, performed a topographic survey, and provided a digital terrain model. This work included an analysis of the existing and subsequent development of proposed drainage patterns, storm sewer features and peak flow computations.

As the property was designed, additional topo and control surveys were provided for rough grading and onsite improvements. The overall boundary was determined, and the property corners were monumented. The survey team created lot splits, including title research, legal descriptions, and exhibits to establish new legal boundaries with Tulsa County. St. John Hospital is currently developing part of the property to serve the community’s medical needs.

The City is in the process of platting the property as “Sheffield Crossing at Sand Springs Phase I” to attract commercial properties like stores and restaurants to enhance and expand the area.
