After helping to update their Water and Sanitary Sewer mapping and provide their Fire Department with a hydrant inspection application, Meshek helped the City of Broken Arrow to create a StoryMap to list and track progress on their Capital Improvement Projects following the sweeping endorsement of their latest GO Bond package by the voters.

Meshek coordinated with the City’s Enterprise GIS system to develop a StoryMap that they could include on the City’s website. The StoryMap highlighted the different types of Capital Improvement Projects, their locations, their budgets, their funding sources, their schedule, and their progress. This ultimately grew to include not just the projects planned from the latest bond vote, but other recently planned and completed projects.

The City has modified the platform since our initial implementation in 2018, but the StoryMap is still in use to monitor their capital projects and now includes a live link pulling budget tracking information directly from the City’s accounting software.
